Re: The amount of search results
Hi,
yes having 25 and 50 a good addition to the current ones.
Even more as I plan to have an "short" result list, which do not show the excerpts of the search results.
Best regards,
Andre

Re: Tabley Search - Better Search!
Hi! If I understand you correctly, you would like to have a search view that is something between easy search and the advanced search. Which would be a table of (let's say 3) rows (that are OR combined) with each a single text box (which can contain several words like elephant house ), which are AND...

Hi, currently there are the following options for defining the sort order: https://www.panofind.com/sortorder.png So, your option 2 would be "Best search result" Option 3 would probably (after having performed the initial sort) to add the following term to the advanced search (e.g. at the ...

Re: What options are missing in the software, which are necessary and useful?
Hi, thanks for the explanation. But what I miss is a description why the file type filter doesn't help you for your task (and how it could be improved, like for sorting). Re: What options are missing in the software, which are necessary and useful?
Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts! 1. How does sorting help you in finding the correct document? Such a sorting would be difficult to implement, because the sorting would need to be performed in the Lucene Search Engine. And having one document type first and then all others is not an easy one......

Hi Roger, sorry to hear about your problems. It could be a variety of issues which creates the problems. - Did you check whether the service runs (in the Panofind settings there is a service status information) - Did you configure the folders where the documents are related to be indexed? - What hap...

Re: File Find
If you only want to find files by filename, I would recommend Everything (https://www.voidtools.com/) This will find all your files on hard disks while typing. You can use wildcards and regular expressions. Very handy tool, I use it frequently. Everything builds only a very small index of your files...

Re: File Find
You would search for just the filename (not the extension and also not the dot before the extension). After searching, you would use the "arrow down" button to show advanced filtering. The first selection box is "file type" and there you would select the appropriate file type. So...
