Sometimes it's also a matter of service priority. Indexing is set to low which should make sense most of the time. But for initial indexing set this to high before going for lunch or to sleep depending on the number of files to index

This is not a pity. Everything is a great, well and frequently maintained program and I agree with Andre: No need to reinvent the wheel. I see no problem in using different programs for different tasks. Resources/time must be well spent.
